Handling the housing rehabilitation programs for multiple municipalities, the AHA ensures the home improvement needs of qualified low-income households are met with quality work and compassionate care. We work with the municipality, the homeowner, and the contractors to ensure a smooth and timely process.
We also offer housing rehabilitation in Ocean County under two separate programs:
- The CDBG Program is available to residents of all municipalities located in Ocean County with the exception of Brick, Jackson, Lakewood, and Toms River Townships.
- The HOME Program is available to residents of all thirty-three (33) municipalities located in Ocean County.
- Brick, Jackson, Lakewood, and Toms River Township residents are eligible for participation in the HOME Program only when referred from their respective municipal HOME liaison.
To determine your eligibility for the Home Rehabilitation program, please complete and submit the AHA’s initial online Intake Form. Please select “Rehabilitation Program” in the “Reason for Contact” menu box and an AHA representative will be in touch within 24-48 business hours.
