Ray Smith, New Chairman of the Affordable Housing Alliance (AHA)

We are pleased to announce the election of Ray Smith to the President of the Affordable Housing Alliance, a statewide nonprofit organization with primary offices in Monmouth County. New Chairman of the AHA

The Alliance provides a continuum of housing-related services, including 600 rental units, housing counseling and disaster relief, financial literacy, utility assistance, homeless housing, and prevention services, to name a few.

Ray has been with the Affordable Housing Alliance for 18 years, during which time he has held positions as Chairman of the Property Management Committee, member of the Construction Committee, Fundraising Committee, and Nominating Committee proving himself to be a committed community services advocate.

Ray Smith is the Founder and CEO of Stafford Smith Realty, a commercial realty specialist with its main office on Broad Street in Shrewsbury.  Ray has also been on the Board of Directors of the Red Cross, the Girl Scouts, and the Red Bank Rotary.

His background in the realty business gives him an overall understanding of how to improve and manage the residential portfolio and make good real estate investments while being cognizant of the needs of our local community.

Ray takes the helm of the Affordable Housing Alliance after a long and successful tenure of the recently deceased Frank “Jay” Patock.
