Director of Housing Outreach Services
Christina Tello, MSW, is a community development social worker who specializes in housing and financial education. She began her career as an advocate for housing and public benefits for people who were experiencing homelessness in New York State. Since 2011 she has worked with the Affordable Housing Alliance (AHA), where she currently serves as the Director of Housing Outreach Services. Her focus is to advance the agency’s mission of furthering and preserving homeownership through group education and one-on-one housing counseling, as well as through the implementation of programs that better equip each community member to improve their personal finances and obtain sustainable housing.
Christina holds a Masters in Social Work from Monmouth University with a focus on International & Community Development, and a Bachelors of Science in Social Work from Marist College. She is a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor and a Certified to administer Affordable Housing by the Affordable Housing Professionals of New Jersey (AHPNJ).
