PRICE Grant Public Comment

We have an exciting opportunity and need your input! For the first time, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has grant funding available for manufactured home communities. HUD’s goal is to make sure communities like Pine Tree are safe, green, and promote affordable homeownership for years to come. The AHA plans to apply for this competitive grant.

If HUD awards funding, the AHA will work in partnership with Pine Tree residents on planning and design.

The AHA is applying for approximately $68 Million from HUD which could be used for:

  • New homes at Pine Tree
  • Infrastructure Upgrades
  • Opportunity to gain home equity
  • Parking
  • Storage
  • Safety and resiliency improvements

The AHA will retain ownership of the Pine Tree land.

  • All Pine Tree residents have the right to return to Pine Tree, even if temporarily relocated.
  • All moving and relocation costs will be covered.

Owners with homes built 1976 and earlier will be prioritized.

  • Offer to purchase at market value
  • All temporary relocation expenses paid.
  • Opportunity to return to a new affordable homeownership unit.
