AHA leadership participating in the Governor’s Conference on Housing and Economic Development

Neptune Township, NJAHA leadership is proud to participate in the Governor’s Conference on Housing and Economic Development this week. Our team is engaging with state policymakers, housing developers, and community partners to explore innovative strategies for expanding affordable housing access and fostering economic development initiatives across the state.

We’re especially proud that our Chief Program Officer, Toi Collins, served as a panelist for Affirmative Marketing and Fees for Affordable Housing session, where she shared her 25+ years of expertise on new requirements and innovative approaches to connect New Jerseyans with affordable housing opportunities.

These collaborative discussions are essential as we work together to address housing affordability challenges and create sustainable economic opportunities for the communities we serve. We look forward to implementing the insights gained here to strengthen our programs and advance our mission of building a stronger, fairer, and more affordable future for all NJ residents.

Additionally, he connected with our partners at NeighborWorks Salt Lake, whose Affordable Housing Mission Investment fund provided critical financing support for our construction pre-development initiatives, and participated in sessions on financial compliance and organizational storytelling.

These professional development opportunities and peer connections are invaluable as we navigate the evolving landscape of housing finance and continue expanding our capacity to serve communities effectively.
