The Utilities Department at the Affordable Housing Alliance provides a variety of services designed for New Jersey residents who are struggling to finance their utility bills. The AHA is the designated agency in Monmouth County to process the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), a federal program aimed at low-income residents who require assistance with electric, gas, and/or their deliverable fuel bills. With our years of service in support of Monmouth County, the Affordable Housing Alliance has also been awarded the Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric (PAGE) Grant. This state-funded assistance program, which is designed to help low to moderate-income families pay their utility bills, features a competitive bidding process that the AHA has overcome year after year. In 2020 alone, the Affordable Housing Alliance distributed over $3,900,000 of PAGE benefits to New Jersey residents.
