Eligibility Requirements

CAP Utility Assistance Program

AHA-CAP helps people in Monmouth County pay their utility bills or turn services back on.

Who Can Apply?

You may qualify if:

  • You live in Monmouth County
  • Your household meets income guidelines

What We Can Help With:

Gas or Electric Shutoff (Reconnection)

  • We can help turn your gas or electric back on.
  • You must have a current shutoff notice.
  • You may receive up to $500, based on your need and available funding.

Past-Due Fuel, Gas or Electric Bills

  • We can help pay overdue fuel gas or electric bills.
  • You must apply for USF and LIHEAP
  • You may receive up to $500, based on your need and available funding.

  • We can help pay overdue water bills.
  • You may receive up to $500, based on your need and available funding.
