NEPTUNE, NEW JERSEY – The past year has seen historic funding for COVID Rent Relief to help cover rent, utilities, and other housing costs and keep people in their homes. Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, billions of dollars in federal rental assistance are reaching renters behind on housing costs, as well as landlords who have struggled during the pandemic. These programs are run locally, and right now emergency rental assistance is available throughout New Jersey!
Are you a renter worried about missed rent payments or eviction? Are you behind on your rent or do you worry about securing the funds to pay your rent? Federal assistance is available to help cover your rent, utilities, or other housing-related costs. Assistance for 12 months or more of rent and utilities are available for those who qualify.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has created a resource page for tenants and landlords to find the information they need to navigate these challenging times. As always, the Affordable Housing Alliance is here to help New Jersey’s residents in any way possible; from helping our neighbors find secure access to the internet to providing assistance with completing applications, the AHA is your one-stop shop for all of your housing, rental, and utility assistance needs!
