NEPTUNE, NEW JERSEY – With the passage of the 2021 American Rescue Plan, more families than ever before will qualify and receive money from the Child Tax Credit. Even those that don’t have income or owe taxes! While many eligible individuals and families will not need to take any additional steps to ensure they receive the expanded Child Tax Credit, certain people will need to provide the IRS with additional information to receive these benefits.

The Affordable Housing Alliance knows of the challenges facing our communities, and as always, we are here to offer support in any way we can. One way we give back to our neighbors is by providing them with the most up-to-date information, even when that doesn’t include housing or utility assistance. Included below are a few of the resources available to help individuals who DO NOT file federal tax returns obtain their Child Tax Credit. While the resources below do a great job of explaining and visualizing the process of completing the ‘Non-Filer’ form, the AHA is here to provide additional support to those who need it. From finding a reliable way to access online materials to obtaining the correct financial information, the Affordable Housing Alliance is here to help!
